Raider 2: The Great Wall
Inside the cave
The level begins with Lara inside a cave. As soon as you head for the
water on the left, the camera will tilt upwards, showing the helicopter
from the previous FMV depart. Ignore this and enter the water. You'll
hear a tiger roar from behind, but it won't be able to reach you.
Surface to the left and climb the ledge in front. You can either shoot
the tiger still on the ground or move on. Jump on the stone pillar in
front and then again to the right.
Climb the ledge up ahead, roll and make a running jump forward. Before
continuing, look to Lara's right where there is a ledge. Jump there and
pick up the first secret (Silver Dragon). Return and continue climbing
until you reach the wall of the tower-like structure. Make a running
jump to the ledge on the left and climb
inside.
The Guardhouse
Drop thought the trap door on the right and Lara will fall into a pool
of water. Surface and head for the stone stairs. Make a running jump
for the ledge up ahead and pull the switch. Head for the door and ready
your guns. Three crows will fly from the front so take them down and
then slide down on the right of the wall. Swim inside the underwater
cave and pick up the Guardhouse Key. Surface and either kill
the tiger roaming around or make for the stones on the left of the
wall. Climb up and use the key to unlock the door.
Second Guardhouse
Enter and kill three spiders that come to attack Lara. Climb the ladder
and kill another spider that guards the Rusty Key. Unlock the next room
with the key and rush for the movable block up ahead from where you can
take down the four spiders from safety. Near the door there is a
skeleton. Pick up the shotgun shells and large medipack near it and
continue. Pull the movable block and slide down into the next area.
Areas full of traps
As soon as you hit the water sharp discs will come shooting out of the
walls in front. Move to the left and hang onto the edge. Shimmy along
the wall until the end and then let go. Make sure to surface between
the two disc shooters so not to get hurt.
Save your game at this point. Run to the left in the next area as two
boulders will come crashing down on your footsteps. Jump over the
spikes and slide down into another area. If you're quick you can pick
up the automatic pistol clips on the floor. Otherwise just jump/climb
into the opening as a spiked wall is headed your way. The next areas
are full of traps, so make sure to save your game.
Run over the broken floor tiles, making sure to jump over the blades.
At the end of this hall turn tot the left where spiked walls will start
to move your way. The second secret (Jade Dragon) is on the floor close
by. If the spiked walls aren't too close, pick up the secret and keep
running down the hallway
You'll drop inside a small room with a spiked wall closing in. Face
away from them and stand on the collapsible floor tile.
Cavern
Two rolling blades are in front. Be careful not to be too close from
them when picking up the small medipak ahead. The next area contains a
zipline, but don't approach it just yet. Kill the two spiders ahead and
another three as you come to the edge of the cave. Hang from the ledge
and shimmy to the right until Lara stops. Let go and then jump to grab
another ledge. Move across it until Lara can pull up into a small
cavern. At the end of the area there are some flares to pick up.
Climb down the ladder. You've now reached the huge area that was
visible from the top. Ready your guns and prepare to fight a T-Rex. As
soon as it's down, run to the end of the area and you'll find a small
opening containing the third secret (Gold Dragon). If you've picked up
all the secrets you'll get the Grenade Launcher, a small medipack and
three pairs of grenades as a bonus. Now a second T-Rex will appear.
Bring it down and make for the exit - back to the area with the ladder.
Exit
Climb all the way up and slide down the zipline. Two tigers will be
there when you arrive. When you've defeated them, just walk into the
next area and head for the door to end the level.
