Raider 2: Bartoli's Hideout
Large building
When the level starts, Lara is in the motorboat. Go towards the gate
ahead and dock the boat. The doors in front are closed, so go to the
left, taking care to kill the two rats there. Take the stairs and a
thug and two more rats will greet you. Pick up the large medipack that
the thug left behind. Kill two more rats and theow the switch. A baddie
comes to attack Lara as the doors open.
Inside the building
Be careful when you enter as two baddies are prepared for your arrival.
One is on the balcony to the right and another will come from the left.
When they're both down, pick up the shotgun shells the second goon was
carrying.
Before reaching the balcony go to the left and brake the window. Take
care of the two dogs there and collect some goodies in this area
(flares, pistol clips, a small medipack). Return and go near the
mechanical statues. Be careful as their swords can hurt Lara badly.
After you pass them, pull the lever in the dark area and return to the
main room.
Position Lara with her back tot he wooden ramp. Take a few steps
forward, backflip onto the ramp and then jump to catch the ledge in
front. Push the movable block there twice. Jump over to the balcony
where the baddie you killed earlier was. Use the ladder to climb into
the next area.
Jumping on awnings
As soon as you reach the balcony, a baddie will start shooting from the
right. Take him down and don't worry about the pick-up he drops, you'll
get it later. Look at the red awning to your left and make a running
jump. Grab it and shimmy to the left until Lara stops. Pull up and when
Lara begins to slip backflip. Look to the left, jump and grab the edge
of the wooden platform. Jump on the red awning to the right and from
there into the opening below the platform.
Ballroom and chimney
Go forward and shoot the two dogs that come charging. Enter the room on
the right after climbing the stairs. Kill the baddie there. Near the
entrance there is a hidden lever. Stand with Lara's back at the window
and look on the right wall near the door in order to spot it. Pull the
lever and head outside this room. The door near the stairs is open,
revealing the killed baddie from the balcony, his shotgun ammo, and the
first secret (Silver Dragon).
Return to the room with the window and smash it. Kill the goon on the
balcony and pick up the Uzi ammo. Go inside the building through
another window. Take care of the two thugs and dog that come through
the door. Go inside the fireplace and push the movable block twice.
Climb inside and kill the rat
Continue and when you spot a blade either slide down, jumping over it
or jump into the water. Get in front of the fire emitters and when Lara
reaches one of them they will stop for a few moments. Quickly jump from
one plank to plank. Go inside the alcove and wait for the door to open.
Room full of chandeliers
Shoot the baddie and dogs from your standing position. Stand on the
white block ahead then jump and grab the chandelier in front of you. Do
the same for the next chandelier. From there jump to the platform on
the right. Pull the lever. Return to the second chandelier and jump to
the next one. Jumps and grab the edge of the wooden platform above.
Go right, killing the rats on your way. Get onto the stone and walk to
the right and then get onto the wooden beam. Shimmy to the right. Jump
to the the other side and ready your guns. Take care of the baddie and
pick up the small medipack he drops. Look towards the wooden beam -
there is a lever there. Climb it and pull the lever. This will
change the height of the chandeliers. Drop down from the beam and get
to the first chandelier (the highest).
Jump to the middle chandelier and from there to the third one. On the
wall with the windows there is an alcove holding the Library Key. Jump
and grab the edge of the alcove, pull up and pick up the item.
Return to the middle chandelier and take a look at the wall with the
windows - there is a switch there. Perform a running jump and land near
the window. Flip the switch and, once you've broken the closest window,
step onto the small surface beyond it. To the right there is an opening
that leads below the fireplace.
Getting into the library
Surface and pull the underwater lever to open a trap door. Go to the
left and dive. You will have to make your way through small underwater
passages and find two pairs of grenades and the second secret (Gold
Dragon). Around the secret there should be an underwater lever. Pull it
and hurry back to the surface. Return to the library entrance.
The library
Use the key to unlock the library. Take down the baddie that comes from
the opposite area. Pick up the small medipack he was carrying and
investigate the room ahead. Climb the bookshelves on the left. Be
careful of the two rats at the top. Get to the switch on the shelf and
flip it.
Get down from the area with shelves and kill the baddie that greets you
at the bottom. Head into the room the switch opened. Climb the shelves
that are on the right. Jump over to the shelves ahead and keep climbing
to the top. Jump over to the window and brake it. Slide down facing
backward and grab the edge. Pull up and backflip onto the balcony. Jump
on the brick wall to the right. Go to the highest point on the wall and
jump over to the roof of the building ahead. Go all the way to the end
of the roof and then go over to the left, where there is an opening.
Jump inside and drop down inside to claim the Uzis. Climb out of the
area and jump into the water.
Outside the library
Surface and go inside the building. Take down the baddie inside and
pick up the automatic clips and the Detonator Key. Exit and go through
the garden door. Take down the baddie that greets you and grab the
large medipack. Return to the large room and pull the lever near the
closed door. Take down the two thugs and pick up the Uzi clips and
shotgun ammo.
Go through the door that opens when you approach. Before using the
detonator key, go to the right, on the garden wall. Follow it all the
way to end and brake the window closest to you. Climb inside and claim
the third secret (Jade Dragon) and a bonus of four boxes of shotgun
shells if you've collected all the secrets.
Exit
Return to the detonator and shoot the two mice that move around. Blow
up the building. Draw your guns and kill the sniper that shoots from
the balcony on the left. Go to the destroyed building and climb to the
top. Once up, backflip onto the stone block and slide down.
